TV Personality, Nell McAndrew is passionate about health, fitness and running. Born in Leeds, Nell first hit our TV screens when she was one of the contestants in the original series of ‘I’m a Celebrity…. Get me Out of Here’ on ITV, having become well known as the body double for the infamous gaming Legend, Lara Croft, working all over the world to promote Tomb Raider 3. Since then, she has become an accomplished amateur athlete, with numerous 10km, half marathon and marathons under her belt. Her greatest running achievement is her personal best time of 2.54.39 at the London Marathon. An accomplishment that she is extremely proud of.
Nell has released five fitness DVD’s, the first of which ‘Peak Energy ’ became a best seller and to encourage people to exercise she also co-wrote a book on Running called ‘Nell McAndrew’s Guide to Running’, published by Bloomsbury Sport. With a genuine passion for health and fitness, Nell also enjoyed writing a monthly column for Women’s Running Mag.
Over the past few years Nell has taken time out of the limelight to bring up her two children, but still keeps up her fitness training and is a regular at local Park runs.
Always wanting to give back and make a difference, Nell has, over the years, supported a large range of charities including Breast cancer awareness, Help The Aged, the British Heart Foundation, DebRA, Cancer Research UK, the Lymphoma Association, SSAFA and the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as many more.
Nell’s TV presenting career has seen her on Racing Rivals , Born to Fight , It's a Knockout and The Big Breakfast . She has been a contestant on various gameshows and reality shows including Fort Boyard , I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! , Celebrities Under Pressure , Family Fortunes and Man O Man.
